Yeah... And if it has cars and racetracks it was copying the Gran Turismo franchise... There is tons of room for quality games, and even ones not so good. We as a group should be praising, and not fingerpointing. The more choices we have, the better.
#1 should have been Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. It had everything. Blasters, Lightsabers, Jedi training, official soundtrack. I would LOVE a remake.
The developers even said that the test audience for DS1 said it was too tense, and never let up on the stressfulness. In an interview in Game Informer just before DS2 came out they said that they gave the game "breathing room" and made it less about horror and more about pacing it. He has some valid points. But I look at it like this. Uncharted lifted some stuff from Tomb Raider. Then Uncharted found it's voice, and became what it is, a great game. Now if Tomb Raider can lift new, and great ideas from Uncharted, then it may be a total win.
I agree that I enjoy the exploring over the fighting. Lets hope it strikes a balance.

Yeah and any of the X-Ray attacks in MK9 would have killed or crippled. Reality does not make for an exciting fighting game. This game looks awesome.
I want to add another one.... Rise of the Dragon (I know it was on Sega CD). It was the first game I played that had a full blown story to it. It would translate out awesome as a first person adventure game.
The only reason I even bought a Saturn when it came out was because it had a picture of ETERNAL CHAMPIONS on the back of the box. Well, it NEVER came out. It was my all time favorite fighting game on the Genesis. What a let down.
Finally a game that will be fun with the Kinect.... And by fun I mean awkward.
Some of my favorites have been. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and Skyrim, Mass Effect series, Deus Ex: THR, Split Second.
Most racing games have crappy music. Just listen to GT5, or Forza 4. I can't drive to that junk. But Split Second got it right. It was pulse pounding, and really fit the action.
